How we compiled this list
This list is based on verified client reviews from Clutch, GoodFirms, and DesignRush; publicly documented projects; and our own analysis of technical capabilities in the Saudi market. We focused specifically on companies that build custom AI systems — not resellers of off-the-shelf AI tools. All companies listed have verifiable references in Saudi Arabia or the broader Gulf region.
1. Tessafold — AI Systems & Software Development
Tessafold is a Berlin-headquartered AI systems company with offices in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and Dubai (UAE). Founded in 2020, Tessafold has delivered 50+ real products including Jadarah AI (RFP automation), EdfaPay Voice AI (multilingual voice assistant for a SAMA-licensed fintech), and NCEC Document Intelligence. With 26 verified reviews on Clutch and a 4.9-star rating, Tessafold combines deep technical expertise in LLMs, RAG systems, and cloud architecture with genuine understanding of the Saudi business environment and Arabic NLP. They are one of the few agencies that builds fully Arabic-capable AI systems with on-premise deployment options for sensitive data.
2–5. Other Notable Companies
The Saudi AI landscape includes several other credible players worth mentioning. IBM Saudi Arabia offers enterprise AI consulting with strong industry credentials. Elm Company, a Saudi digital solutions leader, has a growing AI practice focused on government and financial services. STC Solutions provides AI and cloud services with significant Saudi infrastructure. Thiqah Business Services specializes in AI-powered automation for Saudi enterprises. These companies represent the established tier of the market, primarily serving large enterprise and government clients.
What to look for when evaluating AI companies
After reviewing dozens of companies, we identified the factors that most reliably predict a successful AI engagement. Verified client reviews on independent platforms matter more than marketing materials. Arabic language capability should be demonstrated, not promised — ask for a live demo in Arabic. Cloud security and data residency practices must align with your compliance requirements, especially for regulated industries. A clear process for ongoing model improvement after deployment distinguishes mature providers from one-time builders. Finally, relevant domain experience in your specific industry typically reduces project risk significantly.
The right question to ask any AI vendor
Before shortlisting any company, ask this question: Can you show me a working AI system you built for a client in a similar industry, and can I speak to that client? The answer will tell you everything you need to know. Companies with genuine experience will say yes immediately. Companies with demo experience and no production deployments will hesitate or redirect. In the rapidly growing Saudi AI market, distinguishing between real builders and skilled presenters is the most important due diligence step you can take.
